LONDON.

I usually do not blog about anything political but Once again Terrorism has struck the world this time in London. 52 dead and over 700 injured in the English capital and more fatalities expected.

The continual use of bombs on soft targets in major cities needs to stop but there is really no way to stop it. I was glad to hear British Prime Minister Tony Blair say
"They are trying to use the slaughter of innocent people to cow us, to frighten us out of doing the things that we want to do, trying to stop us from going about our business as normal, as we are entitled to do and they should not and they must not succeed.
"When they try to intimidate us, we will not be intimidated. When they seek to change our country or our way of life by these methods, we will not be changed."

London like New York is one of the worlds greatest cities and having been to London and used the underground subway i could only imagine what it was like for these people and how scary it must have been. Terrorism on this scale is trying to make the world a smaller place it stops people from traveling and experiencing the world, I for one wont be stopped from traveling in the future as this is giving into terrorism. But what will the world be like by the time our baby is old enough to travel?.

I have a few friends who live in England thankfully none live in London but I hope they do not have any friends involved in the incident, and hopefully there was not too many Australians hurt in the bombings since London is a base for a huge amount of Australians living overseas. There is one Australian couple in the news who where ushered out of the subway where there was a bomb onto the double decker bus that blew up and survived that as well hows that for good luck.

This is in dead a sad day for a city and a country that was all of a few hours ago celerbrating the great news of wining the olympic bid for 2012.

Gladly I was not working anywhere near London today although had it happened yesturday I was, But one of the guys i was working with 2day is from London, and had it not been for the fact that he stayed in Leicester last night to meet me on a site this morning then he could possably of been on one of them tubes or one behind it.

I agree we can not give into terrorism on any scale, and am happy that we Brits and Londoners especially have carried on with there normal life/work today and have not been frightened off the streets of London.
