Collingwood FC finally back on the winning list after beating 2nd place West Coast Eagles by 6 goals. The Eagles had a few good players out but a win is a win at this stage of the season. West Coast player Michael Gardner was suspended indefinatley during the week for crashing his car and being over the limit for drink driving. He crashed his holden going 140 kilometers an hour in a 60 zone, West Coast went straight into damage control saying gardner would not be offered a new contract at the end of the season. There will be a line of Victorian clubs lining up to sign the talented ruckman if they think they can tame him.

The battle of the wooden spooner also today with 16th placed Essendon playing 15th placed Carlton. Essendon are on a 14 game losing streak but the good and bad news is that they came a draw.
