The 50th Maffra Mardi Gra was on saturday night and no its not a gay and lesbian thing. The Mardi Gra is an event for local organizations like the football club, pony club, disabled house ect to raise money for themseves. Each entry has 6 weeks to raise as much money as possible and then the winner is announced at Mardi Gra.
They have a street parade and stalls that sell food and drinks and side shows and rides for the kids its a good community night for all.
